Reverend Brian McClaren To Give Talk at St. Michael and All Angels, Sanibel

St. Michael and All Angels will host a talk with Reverend Brian D. McLaren on Monday, February 16, at 10 a.m. as part of the 2026 Shared Scholar Program, an interfaith educational initiative.  He will be speaking about local and global climate concerns, eco-anxiety, and how island congregations can take action to affect change.  He will also be appearing the day before, Sunday, February 15, at 3 p.m. at the Sanibel Congregation of the United Church of Christ (2050 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel) to discuss faith-inspired action.

Reverend McClaren is an author, speaker, activist, and public theologian.  He has written more than 20 books and is a faculty member of The Center for Action and Contemplation and is a frequent guest on television, radio, and news media programs, he has appeared on All Things Considered, Larry King Live, Nightline, On Being, and Religion and Ethics Newsweekly. His work has also been covered in Time, New York Times, Christianity Today, Christian Century, the Washington Post, Huffington Post, CNN.com, and many other print and online media.
