St. Vincent’s Episcopal Church Welcomes Fr. Scott Nonken as Priest-In-Charge

St. Vincent’s Episcopal Church is pleased to announce that Bishop Douglas Scharf has appointed the Rev. Scott Nonken as its new Priest-in-Charge, effective August 17, 2025. Fr. Scott will continue to serve as the Dean of the Diocesan School for Ministry, a position he has held since 2022. Fr. Scott is currently a bi-vocational priest serving as Priest-in-Charge at St. Chad’s Episcopal Church in Tampa and working as a Systems Analyst for a consulting firm in Northern Virginia.

He previously served as Priest-in-Residence at St. Peter’s in Plant City and as Chaplain at St. Anselm Episcopal Chapel Center at USF Tampa.

Fr. Scott was ordained to the diaconate on December 1, 2018, and to the priesthood on May 17, 2022. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Master’s in Leadership and Liberal Studies (MLLS). He completed his religious formation program through the Diocesan School for Ministry and is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity degree at General Theological Seminary.
