Council usually meets on the third Saturday of the month at DaySpring, about six times a year. Currently, Council is being convened for business sessions in February, April, June, August, and December. There is an October meeting that precedes Convention. The bishop, who is president of the corporation, chairs the Diocesan Council meetings. Council representatives are elected at the Fall Deanery Convocations, during which each deanery elects one clergy and one lay representative that alternates.
